History

The High Sierra Fly-in was created as a celebration of backcountry aviation, at a gathering of like minded individuals. This year marks its eleventh year anniversary and we could not be more excited. STOL Drag is growing into a hot new aviation sport and general aviation is thriving.

In 2019, STOL Drag debuted to the world as the first new aviation class in 25 years at the Reno Air Races. The event was hugely successful, please visit STOLDRAG.COM for event info, and race results / current standings.

We sincerely hope that at some point you can come to the desert and join us. There is just no place like "Dead Cow," the dry lakebed that is home to the High Sierra Fly-In.
